Wim Hof is described as an ‘extreme’ athlete and earned his nickname, ‘The Iceman’ thanks to his record breaking achievements including: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in shorts, running a half marathon above the Arctic Circle barefoot, and standing in a container covered with ice cubes for more than 112 minutes. He has learned to control his breathing, heart rate and blood circulation and withstand extreme temperatures, thanks to his teacher ‘cold, hard nature’. He has mastered the autonomous nervous system, proving what the human body is capable of. To help others do the same, he developed the Wim Hof Method using breathing and meditation, cold therapy and focus techniques to achieve a number of benefits including increased energy, reduced stress levels, reduced inflammation and anxiety/depression.
We’re thrilled to welcome Heather Ashley, certified Wim Hof Method Instructor, health coach and healthy habit creator to bring you the Wim Hof Fundamentals Workshop. Heather will share the Method’s techniques with you and you’ll practice together (ice bath optional but highly recommended), leaving with the knowledge of how to use this incredible Method in your everyday life.
