Have you been looking to improve your logical reasoning skills? Are you interested in picking up a new hobby? Or maybe you’re just looking for somewhere to socialise with other interesting people?
In the wake of The Queen’s Gambit, the popularity of chess has been rapidly climbing, with more and more people picking up the game. In fact, learning and playing chess has been shown to have a positive impact on mental wellbeing and cognitive processing skills.
Each session will have boards set up for friendly matches, as well as a tutor to help you learn the basics of the game and get more comfortable with playing. As well, there will be visiting experts for some sessions to give their advice and to help you further hone your skills!
So whether you’re looking to learn a new skill, to brush up on your old skills, or to improve your chess knowledge, come join us once a month and meet other like-minded individuals, make friends and have fun.
