7am: Qigong is even more vast in technique and application than Yoga. Qigong means ‘Energy Practice’ (Qi Gong) and encompasses Tai Chi, Kung Fu and Internal Alchemy mediation. It is composed of innumerable styles and fragmented family lineages and is purely concerned with enhancing Health & Vitality.
8am: Kung Fu (or ‘Gong Fu’) means ‘Skill or Accomplishment Gained through Practice’ and is one of the oldest Martial Arts from which many other fighting arts originate. As with Qigong in general, there are many styles of Kung Fu but all develop and build a balance of strength, agility, mobility, flexibility and stability. The classes focus on technique (stances / punches / kicks etc.) and applied through forms / routines (known as ‘Taolu’ in Mandarin).
